Community spirit shines on Martin Luther King Jr. day of service
On the recent Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service, Christensen Group Insurance’s dedicated team united in a collective effort to extend a positive impact within our communities and beyond. This demonstration of unity underscores the team's steadfast commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of others.
A Glimpse at Charitable Endeavors:
• The Open Door Pantry (Eagan): Our team packed 80 snack bags, ensuring essential nourishment for those in need.
• Meals on Wheels (via Greater Twin Cities United Way): Heartfelt greeting cards were created to bring warmth and support to Meals on Wheels recipients.
• SPCA / Humane Society International: Supplies were contributed to support local animal welfare initiatives.
• Street Warriors: Knitted scarves were donated to provide comfort during challenging times.
• Feed My Starving Children: An impressive 33,048 meals were packed, destined to feed 90 children in Haiti for a year.
• Monticello Cancer Center, LLC: Blankets were crafted for donation to support cancer patients in Monticello.
• Monticello Help Center: Our team participated in food packing, contributing to local community support.
• Local Lunch Packs: 80 lunch packs were purchased and packed for kids in need in our local community.
• Ivy House MN (New Ulm): Tie blankets were donated to provide warmth and comfort.
• INDY FOUNDATION: A thousand Cancer Warrior bags were packed to support children in their cancer battle, delivered to Children's Minnesota.
• The Link Minnesota: Over 50 meals were prepared for homeless youth, extending a helping hand.
• Minneapolis Public Schools: Thirty hygiene kits were assembled for donation to the homeless and mobility unit.
• Isolated Seniors Support: Valentine cards with candy gift bags were crafted for 20 isolated seniors in the community, to be delivered to ACCAP.
• Can Do Canines Assistance Dogs: Collaboration with an Assistance Dog in-training to contribute to future assistance.
• Animal Rescue League of Iowa, Inc.: Handmade fleece blankets, food, and supplies were donated to support animal welfare.
• Community Table Inc.: Our team volunteered to support this community initiative.
• Blood Donation: Members actively participated in blood donation, contributing to the local blood supply.
• Drumm Farm Center for Children (Kansas): Blankets were made to provide comfort to children in need.
• Second Harvest: Money was collected for donation, supporting the fight against hunger.
• Homeless Family Support (Florida): Tie blankets were donated to provide warmth and support to a homeless family in Florida.
