What Does a Client Manager Do?

As a Client Manager, you provide direct support to producers and internal team members to aid both the retention of existing business and generation of new business. Your main focus is marketing new and renewal business, in partnership with producers, and includes building proposals and binding coverage. The Client Manager is a peer leader of the service team and is responsible for delivering excellent customer service along with the Client Advocate.

Compensation

Salary Range: $70,000-$85,000

Salary is dependent on collective experience, knowledge, and skillsets for the posted role.

Job details

Core Duties and Expectations

  • Manage service team workflow
  • Act as a technical expert to producer and clients
  • Manage renewal process
  • New Business Marketing
  • Renewal Business Marketing
  • Maintain and build rapport with key partners
  • Issue supporting documents
  • Maintain culture of employee ownership – contribute time and support to agency/carrier events or activities that strengthen our culture
  • Demonstrate general knowledge of agency carriers, carrier/broker marketplace and underwriting in order to coordinate with insurance companies to address client issues and solve client problems

Job requirements

  • At least 5 years of Business/Commercial Lines Insurance customer service experience (required).
  • Experience with Business/Commercial Lines book of business renewal marketing (required).
  • Microsoft Office experience, specifically Word and Excel (required).
  • Detail-oriented (required).
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work responsibilities; is a self-starter (required).
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written (required).
  • Ability to effectively work in a team. Set team deadlines and goals, and delegate to others (required).
  • CIC designation or equivalent (preferred).
  • Epic experience (preferred).
  • Active Resident Property and Casualty insurance license (required).
