Client Manager- Surety

This role will be responsible for supporting clients with their surety and bond needs, ensuring compliance with underwriting requirements, and managing the issuance and maintenance of bond policies. The ideal candidate will have experience in surety, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional client service.

Salary Range: $70,000-$90,000

Salary is dependent on collective experience, knowledge, and skillsets for the posted role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients regarding surety services.
  • Process bond applications, renewals, and modifications accurately and efficiently.
  • Assist clients with surety underwriting requirements and documentation.
  • Work closely with insurance carriers, brokers, and internal teams to secure appropriate bond solutions.
  • Maintain and update client bond records, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Provide guidance to clients on bond requirements, terms, and conditions.
  • Support the development and implementation of best practices for surety servicing.
  • Stay up to date with industry regulations, market trends, and underwriting guidelines.
  • Handle client inquiries and resolve any issues related to bond coverage or compliance.
  • Assist with account reviews and renewal processes to ensure continued client satisfaction.

  • Provide the ultimate customer experience within the boundaries of the organization’s capabilities
  • Keep management informed of known actions, written or verbal that may affect the ability to successfully perform assignments or adversely affect the Company operations
  • Contribute to creating a safe and fun learning environment
  • Commit to continued education to grow skills and knowledge

Job requirements

  • At least 10 years of Business Insurance customer service experience, with an emphasis in the surety space (required).  
  • Knowledge of surety underwriting principles and requirements (required).  
  • Ability to work in a team setting (required).
  • Microsoft Office experience, specifically Word and Excel (required).
  • Detail-oriented (required).
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work responsibilities (required).
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written (required).
  • Active Resident Property and Casualty insurance license (required).
  • Epic experience (preferred).
  • Ability to navigate insurance carrier websites (preferred).
  • Insurance or surety-specific certifications (e.g., AFSB) are a plus.
